====== The Universal Edit Button (UEB) ======

The [[http://universaleditbutton.org/Universal_Edit_Button|Universal Edit Button]] is a green pencil icon {{https://addons.mozilla.org/user-media/addon_icons/7/7804-64.png?recache&16x16}} in the address bar of your browser that indicates a web page is editable. It is similar to the orange "broadcast" RSS icon that indicates there is an RSS feed available.

The universal edit button is an add-on for [[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/universal-edit-button/|Firefox]] ([[http://universaleditbutton.org/Firefox|installation notes]]), [[http://www.pokitty.com/code/#opera-ueb|Opera]] and [[http://www.chromeextensions.org/utilities/universal-edit-button/|Chrome]]. In time, we hope that browsers will support the Universal Edit Button directly, as they have done for RSS feeds.
