"Encyclopedia of Beer" was published in the portal //Lasypolskie.pl// and this is a conversion of that encyclopedia on Dokuwiki format. I did it because in this "source encyclopedia" I missed the simple navigation and above all full-text search. There are already so many kinds of beers in encyclopedia (more than 1,400) that without simple and efficient search engine You cannot use it easily.

An additional impulse for the creation of this encyclopedia, was the fact of "Dziennik Lasypolskie" (Daily PolishForests) shutdown and erasure of the portal. Admittedly the successor of the portal Lasypolskie.pl was created under name [[http://dzienniklesny.pl/|"Dziennik Leśny" (Daily Forest)]] but because to the functionality of the current solutions it was dacided not to move "Encyclopedia" elsewhere :-)

Encyklopedia ta powstała jako wersja rozwojowa „Encyklopedii piwa” publikowanej w portalu //Lasypolskie.pl// i jest konwersją tamtej encyklopedii na format Dokuwiki. Zrobiłem to, bo w tej „źródłowej encyklopedii” brakowało mi prostej nawigacji a przede wszystkim wyszukiwania pełnotekstowego. Piw w tamtej encyklopedii pojawiło się już tyle (ponad 1400), że bez prostego a sprawnego mechanizmu wyszukiwania obyć się nie było można.

Dodatkowym bodźcem do stworzenia tej encyklopedii był fakt zamknięcia „Dziennika Lasypolskie” i likwidacja portalu.
Powstał co prawda następca portalu Lasypolskie.pl pod nazwą [[http://dzienniklesny.pl/|"Dziennik Leśny"]] ale ze względu na funkcjonalność obecnego rozwiązania nie zdecydowano o kolejnej zmianie położenia „Encyklopedii” :-)

Strona używa szablonu [[template:sandy|Sandy]] autorstwa [[chi@chimeric.de|Michael Klier]], zmodyfikowanego przez [[sulmatuul@gmail.com|SulMatuul]].
 
FIXME I suggest to move the polish version of the page to the polish namespace (under **pl:dokuinstall:beer-o-pedia**).
